Life Transition

Is Life Looking Different?

Life looks very different today than it did at this time last year. You’ve been through a lot to get here and you’re not sure if you like it (or you don’t like it at all.)

No matter what chapter is closing or what chapter is opening for you, the transition between one life to the next can be challenging. Anxiety looms over us like a storm cloud as we try to close one chapter to move onto the next:

Are You Experiencing Change?

  • Loss of a Loved One
  • Divorce (or marriage)
  • Starting a new family
  • Empty Nest Syndrome
  • Retirement
  • Relocating, for any reason

Are You Feeling Nervous or Excited?

These emotions manifest the same physical symptoms: sweaty palms, rapid heartrate, butterflies in your stomach, etc. The only difference between them is your perspective.

A person going onstage is nervous if they’re worried about how the audience will react or respond to them and their show. Will they like me? Will they boo me off-stage? Will I make a fool of myself?

These people are all here to see or hear ME! They want to hear my opinions and ideas. I finally know I’m being heard by the people who want to hear me.

What it all boils down to is, are you there to impress your audience (externally focused) or are you there to serve (internally focused) by sharing your gifts with an audience who’s ready, willing, and able to accept your support?

Neither is good or bad. There’s no right or wrong answer. You may be excited for what lies ahead. You may be scared to death to face what’s coming up in your life.

It’s not as complicated as you might think. Let me help you understand why you’re struggling and what you can do about it.

You are exactly where you belong in your journey. You only realize that when you take time to understand your journey.
